    looking ahead

a few weeks ago, I looked back on 2008. It’s now time to share with you some of my projects [tactics] and hopes  for 2009. Ojalá que…

    + scandinavia

    [a trip, a book and a habit]

like many  fellow monocle readers and urbanites, northern europe cast a spell on me a few years ago, utopia of sleek design and smart policies … in 2009, I will visit the region for the first time (4-day trip to Copenhagen, Denmark), add a scandinavia-based english language newspaper to my reading list and pick up a regional habit.

    + spanish

    [switching to spanish-only whenever possible]

having spent nearly 7 years studying the language, I reached semi-fluent level over the winter, thanks to my colleagues Jordi, Salva and the fofinhos. With Gabriel García Márquez by my (bed)side, I am this close to adding the whole bloody spanish-speaking world to my contact list in 2009.

    + (re)discover montreal

[splitting the fall semester across u of montreal and mcgill campuses]

home-made sushi sessions, lounging @ 2nd cup, urban outfitters, ice-skating, bbqs, ben & jerry’s cookie daught, les brunchs rue bernard, boston roadtrip, hockey games, campus life and snow storms. all of that and yet some more. I just can’t wait. pretty awesome, eh?

    + penmanship

    [letters, columns, articles]

stock pick alert: Česká pošta and Post Canada will post record profit this year, as I will write letters, en masse. a letter a week does not seem much of a hastle, yet by Dec 31st you’ve made a few friends feel pretty special. I’ve been talking about this for a while now,  let’s write the talk.

    + adventure

    [saving 1500 euros towards backpacking]

    +  familia

    [2 visites et un anniversaire]

    + impromptus & imprévusإن ش
